Traditional Limed white wood frame with mount / matt and Art Glass
I use a Munken Lynx mount for my frames, this a smooth mount. Tonally it should match or be slightly darker than the paper. This style of framing works well at small and medium sizes and with all types of subjects.
Traditional Black wood frame with mount /matt and Art Glass
This style of framing works well at small and medium sizes and with all types of subjects.
Limed white wood with floating print.
I generally use this style for prints of 75cm and above, although it can be used at any size. The print has a 2cm border on three sides with 4cm on the bottom to show embossing. Glass size is also 2cm taller than wider. For 75cm prints I use a glass size of 92 x 94cm. For 100cm x 100cm prints I use a glass size of 117cm x 119cm. These floating style frame works well with water images especially.
Drop Box Frame with Limed white wood
We call this a drop box frame. A simple frame that works well with architectural and abstract pieces. Spacers are used to keep the print away from the glass. The moulding is typically 20mm x 40/44mm. The glass size is 8cm wider and 10 cm taller than the print with 6cm on the bottom to show the embossing. We always recommend using Art Glass.

Iroco natural wood tray frame
This tray frame is made from Irish milled Iroco wood, each piece is individually hand waxed for a very smooth finish. The print is laminated and floated within the tray frame, there is no glass and easily shipped. I use this style of framing for larger pieces.

Embossing
I emboss the prints which are framed with glass and have a border. This is very subtle and not noticeable unless you are looking for it.
All prints should be rolled in the opposite way to the natural roll in the paper before mounting / hanging.
Frames /Moulding
I use classic black, off white and oak frames, the depth for most sizes is 44mm and the width at the front is 20mm for a clean but strong feel.
Glass Options
You can see the difference above between regular glass and Art Glass. I use Art Glass for all of my frames in the gallery. It cuts down reflections completely when viewed straight on and protects the print much better than regular glass. I would highly recommend asking for this option when having prints framed.
